In partnership with the Brazos Valley Food Bank, part of the Feeding America network, we offer a mobile food pantry once a month between 10 am and noon (or until the food runs out). For those who live in Washington County and qualify for this program, your food carton can be picked up in the parking lot or under the carport at St. John's United Church of Christ, 516 N Colorado in Burton.
Contact the Burton Bridge Ministry administrative office at 979-337-3370 for information and qualifications.

Senior citizens (55+) gather for fellowship, games and meals each Friday, except on holiday weekends. We meet at St. John's United Church of Christ, 516 N Colorado in Burton. Call 979-337-3370 by Tuesday to reserve your meal. The suggested donation is $4.
Volunteers also take hot meals to homebound senior citizens and the disabled every Friday. There is no charge for homebound delivery and this service is limited to the Burton area. Call 979-337-3370.

Camp Hope is a summer camp open to children (must be age six by June 7, 2021) through those graduating the 6th grade in 2021. Week 1 (June 7-11) will be held at our partner churches (Greenvine Baptist and Greenvine Emmanual Lutheran); week 2 (June 14-18) will be held at Camp For All near Rehburg. Pick up a registration form at Burton Elementary or call 979-337-3370. Scholarships are available for families who qualify.

Our all-volunteer crew helps with minor home repairs, as well as the installation of accessibility ramps, for senior citizens, the disabled, and low income families.
We also connect homeowners with partner agencies that can help with weatherization, additional home repairs, or assistance with electric or propane bills. Call 979-337-3370 for more information.

Fellowship events provide an opportunity to gather together, make new friends, and cherish existing relationships. Annual events include a free Thanksgiving dinner, Volunteer Appreciation, and the Angel Tree Project (at Christmas-time).
When it becomes safe to gather in large groups we will plan our first Job Fair (on campus for graduating students and also off campus for job-seeking adults). In the interim, our bimonthly Lunch-and-Learn seminars help connect the unemployed with career opportunities.
